Circumambition Cultural Festival for Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan
The Cardinal Kim Sou-hwan Love & Sharing Park restores the house where the cardinal lived with his family in childhood; the three-bay thatched old house has a modest feel, with a narrow porch and low eaves adding warmth. Though Korea's first cardinal and a historic figure respected by many regardless of religion, it shows he was born and raised in a small thatched house. At the entrance is an onggi kiln site, connected to the Love & Sharing Park with a Forest of Peace and a Way of the Cross. A meaningful space to reflect on the cardinal's life and spirit, the adjacent memorial hall is arranged so you can directly see sculptures, his life history, and priestly vestments.
