Gallery + Street Art Exhibition
A 1,000m art street lined with varied galleries, small theaters, cafés, and eateries, centered on Ulsan's Dongheon (magistrate's office), guesthouse, and Municipal Art Museum. Cloaking the old downtown—once the heart of Ulsan's economic growth—in culture, this place transformed into a focal point for local artists and an art street where, like the Montmartre hill of Paris, painters freely create and exhibit and sell their works. With many art-related sights—the Garden of Dreams, Taehwa Seowon, Ulsan Keunaegi House, the Jung-gu Living Culture Center, and the Go Bok-su Music Hall—it is a must-visit course for tourists. Every weekend, a five-color art fair, busking, street exhibitions, and concerts are held, with cultural events letting artists and citizens interact directly. Jung-gu's signature festivals—Maduhui in May and the Snow Flower Festival in December—are held here, and adjacent to the Street of Youth and the Ulsan Keunaegi Night Market, it is rich in sights, fun, and food.
