An Iron Culture Festival Held at Dalcheon Ironworks, the First Iron-Making Site on the Korean Peninsula

The Ulsan Soeburi Festival is the country's only iron-culture festival where you can meet Ulsan's industrial history and traditional ironmaking culture. The Dalcheon Iron Field, its backdrop, is Korea's earliest iron-producing site that produced quality iron from the Proto-Samhan period to modern times—a precious space holding 2,000 years of iron history. Its iron was an important foundation for Ulsan's growth into today's world-class industrial city and a root of Ulsan's history and identity. The festival is composed of varied programs—traditional ironmaking reenactments, performances, exhibitions, experiences—so citizens and tourists can enjoy this history and culture together.
