장소 소개
Gwangmyeong Culture Center was founded in 1992 to preserve traditional culture and develop local culture. It researches and spreads local-history surveys, local cultural events, and arts programs, contributing to citizens' cultural sensibility and local culture. Children's and adult culture schools run programs like violin, ballet, pungmul, calligraphy, four-gentlemen painting, Gyeonggi folk song, adult pansori, and Korean painting. The Gwangmyeong-linked field-trip program is a cultural-education program where young students first learning about the community visit Gwangmyeong's heritage sites and cultural facilities to correctly learn local history and culture and grow pride and local awareness as Gwangmyeong citizens. The Ori Culture Festival, honoring the local sage Minister Ori Yi Won-ik to foster local affection and pride, has been held yearly since 1992.
