Jangseungpo Port is said to have begun developing as a fishing and trading port after a breakwater was built in 1930, and to have been designated an open port on June 25, 1965. At Jangseungpo Waterside Park, a food-cart street called 'Jangseungpo Pocha' is set up along the road at the park's edge, where container food carts painted with pretty pictures operate, so visiting at night lets you sit by the shore and enjoy delicious food-cart fare. Busking performances are often held, and with various scenic lighting, sculptures, and benches, you can enjoy a beautiful night view while feeling the cool sea breeze. Various festivals such as a beer festival and a fireworks festival are also held. The night lighting of the Geoje Culture & Arts Center at the end of the waterside park adds to the beauty.
