It is Goryeong County’s representative festival with a long history, where you can learn about and enjoy Daegaya’s unique history and culture.In 2025, with Goryeong County’s designation of Daegaya as an ancient capital, the value of Goryeong County, which holds the history and culture of Daegaya, has been further elevated.In addition, the discovery of pottery inscribed with the title “Great King” at the moat of the ancient Goryeong Daegaya royal fortress site has proven that Daegaya was a powerful ancient kingdom, and with the Jisandong Tumuli Cluster designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Daegaya’s history and culture have become an important part of our history that must be preserved and recognized for future generations.The 2026 Goryeong Daegaya Festival will be held under the theme “Daegaya Reborn”: Through this festival, it aims to become a celebration that strengthens Goryeong County’s pride as a designated ancient capital.
