The food information for the festival site below is based on last year’s (2025) festival content; the 2026 festival details are currently being updated.*This is an annual cultural and artistic performance festival held to honor the musical achievements of Master Park Yeon of Nangye, focusing on Korean traditional music, a cultural heritage and traditional performing art of Yeongdong County, and contributing to the promotion of traditional cultural arts. The 57th Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival aims to build upon the achievements of the 2025 Yeongdong World Gugak Expo by promoting Korea’s heritage of gugak to the world and contributing to the revival of a second wave of Korean Wave culture. As Korea’s only traditional Korean music festival, it strives to modernize traditional cultural arts through a variety of traditional Korean music performances and hands-on programs, while also working to develop the festival as a local tourism resource with programs tailored to regional characteristics. We will create an occasion for community unity through raising the cultural level of local residents and encouraging voluntary participation.
