The “Daejeon Science Festival,” held in conjunction with the 2026 Korea Science Festival, is the largest science event in Korea jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Daejeon Metropolitan City. It is a science event held to experience the changes in our daily lives brought about by advances in science and technology, and to communicate with and prepare for the future together with the public. A wide range of participants, including government bodies, public institutions, private companies, and organizations, will take part in this event, offering a variety of science and culture programs and content—from advanced science and technology to science integrated into everyday life—including exhibitions, exhibitions, hands-on experiences, performances, lectures, and competitions, all of which can be enjoyed by everyone from youth to adults. Beyond being a science festival representing our country, it can open a new chapter in science and technology culture as an urban festival shared with the public and as a leading global science festival.
