The Hadong Wild Tea Culture Festival is a government-designated honorary cultural tourism festival held every May in Hadong County, Gyeongsangnam-do, the first tea-growing region in Korea. Hadong wild tea, cultivated in its pristine natural environment, has long been known for its exceptional taste and aroma. Since the 2023 Hadong World Tea Expo, the city has increased its recognition as a “tea-healing cultural city” and enhanced the brand value of its tea industry and culture, now approaching its 29th edition in 2026. In May, when you visit Hadong, you can experience moments when everyday life becomes special over a cup of tea, and fully enjoy Hadong’s flavors and charm through spaces where music and art blend, such as “Busking in a Teacup” and “Melody on Tea Leaves,” as well as healing programs like Tea Class and Book Talk, and the refreshing green hues of walking the Byeolcheonji Trail in a bottle. This year, in particular, to celebrate Children’s Day on May 5th, a variety of Children’s Day programs will allow the whole family to enjoy them together.
