The Bupyeong Pungmul Festival, a traditional cultural and arts festival representing not only Incheon but all of South Korea, has now reached its meaningful 30th anniversary. Since taking its first step in 1997, the Bupyeong Pungmul Festival has grown into a grand space of communication where citizens and artists come together, breathing our unique traditional rhythms into the bleak heart of the city. The lively rhythms created by the 22 Dongpungmul groups, the heart of the festival, have served as a strong foundation that unites all residents into one. In particular, this 30th festival, held over three days from October 2 to 4, 2026, will reflect on the tradition that has continued for the past 30 years and celebrate the new future ahead, unfolding on a grander and more spectacular scale than ever before.
