The Hansan Mosi Cultural Festival is an eco-friendly traditional textile festival representing South Korea, and it is held to widely promote the historical significance and excellence of “Hansan Mosi weaving,” a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Held every June around the Hansan Mosi Hall area in Seocheon County, it carries the slogan “Hansan Mosi, the Ancient Future,” aiming to reexamine the value of Hansan Mosi, which has a history of over 1,500 years, and to pass it on and develop it together with future generations. Through programs such as the Jeosan Pal-eup Gilsam Play, Hansan Mosi School, mini loom experience, Hansan Mosi History Museum, local art performances, and Starlight Walk, the festival showcases the charm of Hansan Mosi where tradition and modernity, nature and culture blend, establishing itself as a cultural festival that connects.
