Presidential Cup Horizon National Nongak Competition + Byeokgolje Legend Ssangyong Play + Ipseok Tug-of-War for a Bountiful Year + Horizon Kite Flying, etc
The food menu for the festival site below is based on last year’s (2025) festival content, and the 2026 festival content is currently being updated.* Among the Korea’s honorary representative cultural tourism festivals designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Gimje Horizon Festival is the only one held with the theme of traditional agrarian culture, centered around Byeokgolje, Korea’s oldest and largest hydraulic facility. There are various programs where visitors can directly experience diverse aspects of agricultural culture, including the nation’s first Presidential Cup National Nongak Competition held against the vast golden fields and horizon, as well as rice cooking in a traditional hearth, grasshopper catching, rice harvesting, and threshing experiences. In addition, traditional folk events such as the Ssangryong Play, based on the legend of Byeokgolje, and the standing stone tug-of-war, which prays for a bountiful harvest, can be experienced on site, adding to the festival’s enjoyment.
