The “Hwaseong Boat Festival,” Hwaseong City’s signature festival, is the largest marine cultural festival in the Seoul metropolitan area where visitors can experience boarding yachts and boats. They offer a variety of diverse marine programs that let visitors fully enjoy the West Sea, including sailing yachts, power boats, an offshore cable car, and a cruise boat tour by the Pungnyudan troupe. There is a rich variety of sights and activities that cross land and sea, including the passionate dance parade “The Wind’s Divine Messengers,” spectacular performances and fireworks lighting up the night sky, mudflat ecological experiences and live bait fish catching, as well as a large beach playground and marine plogging.
