The following festival details are from last year’s festival (2025); the 2026 festival details are being updated.*Ginseng is one of Korea’s representative tonic foods, helpful for restoring vitality and enhancing immunity. In October, the time when ginseng contains the highest nutritional content, the Punggi Ginseng Festival is held in Yeongju, one of Korea’s leading ginseng-producing regions. True to its theme of ginseng, a symbol of health, the festival focuses mainly on health-related exhibitions and hands-on experiences. You can taste ginseng dishes made with nutrient-rich Punggi ginseng, and enjoy activities such as ginseng peeling, making ginseng wine, and finding the golden ginseng! You can also have fun experiences related to Deung Punggi ginseng. In addition, processed foods made from fresh ginseng, red ginseng, and ginseng, carefully harvested by local ginseng farmers, can also be purchased at affordable prices.
