장소 소개
Our ancestors, every winter, when heavy snow fell, would tie ropes between their homes and build a snow tunnel along them, traveling back and forth. In those hard times, when the cold river wind would cause the streams to merge early, they would hammer large rocks along the riverbed to make a snow tunnel and hunt winter fish to get a meal. Right here, we transform the hardships of our ancestors’ lives into a festival, under the theme “A Winter Story with Snow, Ice, and Trout.” Every year, from the end of December to the end of January, the Pyeongchang Trout Festival takes place in full swing. From the ice, you can see the fish swimming in Odaecheon clearly, while enjoying the thrilling sensation of trout fishing, and experience the joy of a true winter festival along with various winter experience events.
