The Geumcheon-Siheung Haenggung Cultural Festival is Geumcheon-gu’s representative historical and cultural festival, embodying the district’s historical identity and its cultural and artistic significance. The [2026 Geumcheon-Siheung Royal Procession Cultural Festival] begins with Part 1, “The Procession Festival,” which expresses the excited hearts of residents waiting for the king’s procession, and in Part 2, it presents the “King Jeongjo Royal Procession,” in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, depicting King Jeongjo’s procession as he heads to pay respects at his father, Crown Prince Sado’s tomb. The final Part 3 features a festival with a wide variety of programs that everyone can enjoy together, including “Siheung Haenggung Night,” a unique program of the Geumcheon-Siheung Haenggung Cultural Festival, which aligns with King Jeongjo’s spirit of caring for the people by offering traditional Korean music that everyone can enjoy together.
