The following festival details are from last year’s festival (2025); the 2026 festival details are being updated.It is Korea’s premier medicinal herb festival, now in its 25th year. Based on the medicinal herb resources of Jirisan’s pristine area and the classic novel Donguibogam, the festival was established in 2001 as the nation’s first oriental medicine-themed tourist destination, making full use of its history, culture, and natural conditions to promote the excellence of Sancheong’s medicinal herbs and to link it with wellness and anti-aging industries, which are among modern people’s greatest interests. There are programs such as the Sancheong Herbal Pharmacy Experience, where you can directly experience the benefits of Sancheong’s excellent medicinal herbs, the ‘My Body’s Tonic’ experience, and the Wellness Health Tour.
