장소 소개
Founded in 1998 in Daehangno under the name “Independent Arts Festival,” the Seoul Fringe Festival is an annual summer festival that brings together theater, dance, music, performance, video, visual arts, exhibitions, and a wide range of artistic experiments that cannot be confined to a single genre. They neither judge the artist nor evaluate the work. Believing that “anyone can become an artist,” it opens opportunities for everyone to participate. Whether on stage, in a park, or in any space, we support and encourage people to express and try the stories they want to tell. Through the courage to reveal oneself, experiments that cross genre boundaries, and the process of sharing responsibility and respect, we create true artistic freedom. This year, under the slogan “What It Means to Be Together,” we aim to discover new ways of connection that we need right now.
