The food menu for the festival site below is based on last year’s (2025) festival content, and the 2026 festival content is currently being updated.* It is the only festival in Korea themed around Hangul, and is held every year as Sejong City’s representative festival commemorating Hangul Day. Based on King Sejong’s outstanding achievement of creating Hangul, the festival has been held since 2013, and in 2025 it was renamed from the “Sejong Festival” to the “Sejong Hangul Festival.” Through performances, exhibitions, and hands-on programs that reinterpret the beauty and creativity of Hangul in a modern way, it is being organized as a festival that people of all ages and nationalities can relate to and enjoy. In addition, through a variety of cultural and artistic programs blending tradition and modernity, it is growing into Sejong City’s distinctive cultural tourism festival where people can easily and enjoyably experience the charm of Hangul and the spirit of King Sejong right in the heart of the city.
