Haksan Madanggeuk Nolla, which began in 2014, is a representative citizen-created arts festival hosted and organized by the Michuhol Haksan Cultural Center in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, where citizens create and enjoy original plays themselves. It is a lively gathering where residents come together in the village, communicate through culture, and share creative performances made with local issues and stories of daily life with their neighbors. It is being reborn as a space for citizen culture and arts that spans a wide range of artistic forms, including original Nanta plays, mask dance performances, theater, puppet shows, musical theater, and three-dimensional reading plays. For the resident-led citizen community arts festival created by local residents, residents, artists, and related organizations and institutions are coming together in solidarity to foster the growth of community arts and the development of local culture.
