The 18th National Marine Sports Festival is the largest comprehensive marine sports festival in Korea, held to raise public interest in marine sports and to expand the base of marine leisure culture. This is a nationwide event hosted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and jointly organized by the host city and related organizations. Each year, the event is held in a different location, and both official competitions and side events are held, with marine sports athletes and enthusiasts from across the country participating. The 18th edition will be held in Geoje City, Gyeongsangnam-do, featuring competitions in a variety of events, including yachting, canoeing, underwater and fin swimming, and triathlon. In addition, the event will offer marine leisure experience programs such as banana boating, kayaking, and SUP paddleboarding, along with cultural performances and side events, creating a festival space where athletes, citizens, and tourists alike can participate and enjoy. Set against the beautiful marine environment of Geoje, it is a nationwide marine festival where people can enjoy sports, tourism, and hands-on experiences together.
