Waemok Village Beach is located at the northernmost tip of the Taean Peninsula in Dangjin City, and geographically it has a unique shape, extending thinly and elongately while dividing the West Sea. Because the coastline along the extended part faces east, it is the only place in Korea where you can see the sunrise, sunset, and moonrise all at once. And thanks to the sandy beach and rocky shore, you can enjoy both swimming in the sea and fishing from the rocks. You can also experience the mudflats, and admission tickets can be purchased at convenience stores near Waemok Village Beach or at the Waemok Experience Village ticket booth. To safely enjoy mudflat experiences, you need to check the tide schedule, so you can do so on the Waemok Village website by clicking “View Tide Table.” Accommodation, meals, fishing gear, and other items can be handled directly at the nearby Waemok Village. Waemok Village can be accessed via National Route 38, Provincial Route 633, and Provincial Route 647 through Provincial Route 615, and the highway is close to the Seohaean Expressway’s Songak IC and Seosan IC.
