장소 소개
The Gwangju Arts Center opened in 1991. The center is home to about 300 members from a total of eight arts organizations, who are actively engaged in their activities. By presenting citizens with high-quality performances across a wide range of genres—from traditional music and symphony to changgeuk and ballet—it contributes to expanding the base of culture and the arts and nurturing local talent. The Grand Theater is a two-story balcony-style proscenium stage space designed for performances across various genres, including concerts, theater, film, opera, ballet, and musicals. The 600-pyeong lobby of the main theater creates a dramatic atmosphere in the main space through natural lighting from the top light, which is opened from the first floor to the upper floors.
