The Chuncheon Museum of Art was established in 1995 in the exhibition hall of the Samcheon-dong Children’s Hall through the efforts of the Chuncheon Art Association, aiming to develop Chuncheon, a city by the lakeside, into a city where art and culture come alive. Over the years, the Chuncheon Museum of Art in Samcheon-dong has served as a vibrant platform for the active presentation of works by Chuncheon’s artists, helping to broaden the base of art culture and acting as a refreshing force in citizens’ daily lives. As part of its active efforts to become even more accessible to the public, the Chuncheon Museum of Art in Okcheon-dong has been renovated into a new exhibition hall in the former Central Methodist Church building and is embarking on a new beginning. The Chuncheon Museum of Art is a comfortable cultural and recreational space for citizens, where anyone can easily come together and share the fresh scent of culture
