장소 소개

Sanho Park has Masan Japanese Fortress, a former fortress site once called Yongmasanseong. It is said that in 1592 (25th year of King Seonjo) during the Imjin War, the Japanese army began constructing the fortress to use Yongmasan (85.4 m) in Masan as a military base, and completed it during the second Japanese invasion of 1597. Most of Yongmasanseong has collapsed, leaving only part of the stonework, and it is now developed as Sanho Park. Below the mountain are the sea off Masan and the free-trade-zone Changwon industrial complex; at the [Street of Poems], where the souls of poets from Masan are engraved, there are poetry monuments engraving the works of Yi Eun-sang of 'Gagopa,' Yi Won-su who left 'Spring of My Hometown,' Kim Su-don called the emperor of melancholy, Yi Il-rae the lyricist of the children's song 'Mountain Rabbit,' Kim Yong-ho who sang the lyricism of May, Jeong Jin-eop who recited the image of reeds, Park Jae-ho who expressed the everyday of meeting and parting through small stations, and Kim Tae-hong who revealed the long history of Gwanhaejeong, the site continuing Masan's Confucian lineage. Within the park are the Masan Loyal-Souls Tower and the Masan Library.
