The Mato Arts Festival, meaning 'an arts festival on the last Saturday,' is Anjeong-ri's signature arts festival, held in June as 'Summer Christ-MATO' and in October as 'Broadway in Anjeong-ri.' In June the Anjeong-ri Artists' Plaza is decked in the 'Summer Christ-MATO' concept evoking a snowy Christmas in midsummer, run as a water-play festival to cool the heat. With family play zones like a water pool, air bounce, and snow-bubble pool, plus varied performances, citizen-participation events, experience booths, and pet programs, citizens, foreigners, and visitors all enjoy it. Themed activities, a large photo zone, and plaza exhibits offer a special cultural experience across generations and nationalities.
