The 2026 Gijang-gun Pet Culture Festival is a celebration of communication and harmony where pets, their owners, and local residents come together. Now in its third year, this festival offers a richer and more diverse program under the theme “Happy Coexistence with Pets,” providing a special time for both pet owners and non-pet owners to enjoy together while learning about and connecting with proper pet culture. This year, in particular, they are introducing new and exciting pet programs, including the “Pet-Friendly Walking Contest,” where pets and their owners can walk together and bond, as well as “K-Pet Got Talent,” where talented dogs and cats from across the country gather to showcase their hidden talents and skills. Alongside this, through various hands-on, educational, and participatory programs, they plan to share not only the joy of living with pets but also the meaning of respecting life and fostering a responsible pet culture.
