Opened in 2004 as the Dalseo-gu Advanced Culture Center, Dalseo Art Center has been a cultural companion to Dalseo residents for over 18 years. Under the slogan 'a happy Dalseo through culture and arts that seep into life,' since the 2014 founding of the Dalseo Culture Foundation it has offered residents refined cultural content through ever more varied, professional programs. With optimized facilities from its 2018 full remodel—the Cheongnyong Hall with a top stage, a 117-pyeong gallery for varied exhibitions, and the center's largest art academy program—it aims to become an institution at the heart of Daegu's culture-arts development beyond Dalseo, through developing varied content via communication with local artists, enjoying high culture via top-level domestic and overseas performances, family programs for all ages, and culture-sharing projects for the underprivileged. It is a center that fulfills artists' creative desires and lets visitors feel the true value and preciousness of culture and arts.
