It’s a café located in the plaza at Geumgang Station on the Daegu line. Passenger transport on Daegu Line Geumgang Station was suspended from 2008, and service was discontinued on September 5, 2013. The Geumgang Station Rail Cafe was established as part of the Safe Creative Valley development project promoted by Daegu Metropolitan City and Dong-gu Office. Centered around the Geumgang-dong and Goejeon-dong areas of Dong-gu, it was built to preserve the natural environment of the Geumho River, the lotus root fields, and wetlands, and to reinvent the deteriorated urban area, thereby securing leisure spaces for local residents and promoting tourism. Geumgang Station Rail Cafe is known as a unique cafe because it was decorated using two cars from the Saemaeul train. It has recently become a beloved resting place for citizens, and adjacent to the Ansim Lotus Complex, its beauty reaches its peak when the lotus flowers bloom in the summer. In addition, it is gaining popularity among cafe-goers with its many other attractions and things to do.
