A comprehensive cultural content festival that integrates cultural enjoyment and industrial transfer through convergence
Ocheon Green Plaza is the first place in Korea to transform a retention basin, previously serving only to prevent large-scale flooding, into a garden. Year-round lawns were laid across the basin along with an earthing path, landscape lighting and a ground fountain, creating a space where all citizens gather to meet and talk, giving rise to a new plaza culture in Suncheon. A large horse chestnut grove and a variety of other trees blend with the earthing path and lawns, and it has become a beloved and much-visited space that draws admiration from all who come.
