Centered around the Tamna Sunyeokdo, this unique nighttime event is a national night exhibition that reinterprets Jeju’s national heritage through media art, allowing both local residents and visitors to enjoy it together.

The Jeju-mok government office, which was the center of governance over the Jeju region during the Joseon Dynasty, was distributed throughout the area surrounding what is now Gwandeokjeong, and it is believed to have been a site with major government office facilities such as Seongju-cheong as early as the Tamna Kingdom period. The administrative office building’s history began immediately after all its structures were destroyed by a fire in 1434, and its framework was completed the following year, 1435. Throughout the Joseon period, it underwent multiple phases of reconstruction. However, the Jeju Mok government office was extensively destroyed during the Japanese colonial era, and except for Gwandeokjeong Pavilion, no traces of it could be seen. In Jeju City, in an effort to restore the Jeju-mok government office, which had served as the political, administrative, and cultural center of Jeju from the Tamna Kingdom through the Joseon Dynasty, to its original style, four excavation surveys were conducted from 1991 to 1998.
