French music performance + exhibition of works + operation of experience booths
Paris Park was built on the base of the 2nd Neighborhood Park in the Mok-dong new town in 1986, under an agreement to mark 100 years of ties with France by creating plazas in each other's capitals. Part of the park is set as the 'Paris Plaza' symbolizing France. Main facilities include Seoul Plaza, a pond, and the Paris Plaza, and the Korea-France yard is designed to harmonize the two cultures. Seoul Plaza has paving with the three-part taegeuk pattern, murals, and a wall fountain, embodying tradition and symbolism. The Paris Plaza creates scenery with French-style patterned flower beds and seasonal plants, offering both commemorative and educational effects.
