Cheonjiyeon Waterfall was formed as Jungmuncheon, which originates from Hallasan, flows into the sea, and it is located within Jungmun Tourist Complex. Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is divided into three waterfalls: the first falls from the columnar joint cliff down to Cheonjiyeon (the pool), and the second and third falls were formed as the water from Cheonjiyeon flowed further downstream. The first waterfall is 22 meters high and 21 meters deep at Cheonjiyeon. Although the waterfall does not fall during the dry season, the columnar rock formations and the emerald-colored pond are so beautiful that no one, whether domestic or foreign, refrains from pulling out their camera. 1 There was a belief that if you pour cold water over the ceiling of the rock cave near the waterfall with a shiridoro, and then receive the water on Baekjung and Cheoseo, all illnesses would disappear.
