A traditional market steeped in the rich smell of the Busan sea. Once a place of consignment trading, it is now made up mostly of retailers as the years have passed, but anyone who wants to smell the fishy yet savory scent of Busan should pay it a visit. It is a dried seafood wholesale market at the eastern end of Jagalchi Market, dealing specially in dried seafood. It has the only National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives auction house in Busan, and its some 200 shops sell dried seafood such as dried anchovies, dried squid, shrimp and various dried fillets, as well as marine products including laver, sea mustard and shellfish. It is Busan's foremost dried seafood market, selling wholesale and retail at low prices to intermediate wholesalers from across the country and to ordinary consumers alike.
